Bethel Motor Speedway, NY

Team TYPHOON made the trip to the catskills to Bethel Motor Speedway over Memorial Day weekend. The first race of the season for Jeff, considering Mahoning Valley was rained out the previous weekend. They were only able to get in one practice run before the rain set in.

Saturday night was a fast paced schedule with only one brief practice session before qualifying. Kot would start from the pole position for the feature event. As the race got under way, Kot distanced himself from the field only to have a caution come out as a few cars wrecked on the front stretch. With another restart in order, Kot again jumped out to a nice lead over the field. The #95 was leading but having trouble staying low on the race track, which opened the door for the 1b to get by and eventually win the event. Kot came home with a top 5 and the team decided to change from the back up motor they had been running to their new power plant for this weekends event. The backup motor was starting to sound flat and was feeling underpowered.

Look for Kot and the #95 to be at Sundance Vacation Speedway this Saturday June 5th. There will be a fan fest on the track for an autograph session prior to racing.
